The Friends of King George V Playing Fields held a successful fun day as crowds of youngsters attended the first event of its kind.

At the St Annes park there was a bouncy castle, football and rugby games, cheerleaders and dance demonstrations where participants were taught to streetdance.

The Mayor of Fylde, Councillor Susan Fazackerly, opened the event.

Lancashire Police community bus and a super-charged patrol motorbike were on display and the Fire Service showed off its smoke tent.

A competition was held to guess the distance round the park in metres.

All money raised at the event will go towards sports equipment including collapsible football posts.
