Two young women who were involved in a fracas at a Blackpool nightclub have both been handed suspended prison terms.
One of the pair, Jenna Whiteside, hit a Polish woman three or four times to the head with a bottle at the Rumours nightspot in the town.
The injured woman's boyfriend called the police and co-defendant Yvette Babington spat in his face.
Events began with Sylvia Klos being jostled by a group of females on the dance floor, including the two defendants.
The judge at Preston Crown Court said both had tended to turn to violence if they have too much drink.
Whiteside, 23, of Yew Tree Road, Blackpool and Babington, 21, of Thornbank North, Bolton, pleaded guilty to affray.
They were each given six months prison, suspended for two years, with 12 months supervision.
Both defendants had previous convictions for violence.
The judge, Recorder Philip Curran, told them: "Had I thought for one moment this happened because she was a Polish lady on a night out, trying to attack her for that reason, you would have been going to custody straight away."
