A little book of boredom busters is waiting to be snapped up by anyone who needs to keep youngsters entertained throughout the long school holidays.
Kids Stuff is a free booklet packed full of fun and affordable events taking place in July, August and September across the Fylde Coast. There's something for everyone inside the guide, from tots to teens, whether they favour sports, dancing, arts and crafts, shows, storytelling, or nature.
Now in its second year, the publication has been developed jointly by Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre Borough Councils.
Tom Pridmore, Director of Leisure Services at Wyre Borough Council, said: "We’re delighted to link in with neighbouring councils, local clubs, leisure centres and local attractions to provide a varied and exciting programme to keep youngsters occupied all summer long.
Councillor Tony Williams, Cabinet Member for Community and Culture at Blackpool Council said: "With the summer holidays around the corner many parents and grandparents will be turning their attention to how to keep the children entertained for weeks on end.
"There will be no excuse for the infamous phrase ‘I’m bored’ this summer, thanks to the bumper number of diverse and entertaining activities taking place across the Fylde Coast."
Coun Karen Buckley, Children and Young People's champion at Fylde Borough Council, said: "It is great to see the three Council's working together to provide a programme of events which cover so many fun things to do - from sport to IT to art, there really is something for everyone.
"I am sure that the young people of the Fylde Coast will be able to learn new skills and make new friends this summer by using this booklet."
