Smoking ban rebel appears before Blackpool magistrates

Smoking ban rebel Hamish Howitt has made another court appearance after allowing customers to smoke in the pub he runs.
Mr Howitt, 56, and wife Joanne, 41, both faced one offence of failing to prevent smoking at Del Boy's Sport Bar, Rigby Road, Blackpool.
The prosecution, brought by Blackpool Council, was adjourned to July 16 by Blackpool magistrates on Wednesday.
The couple have previously been before magistrates and fined for similar offences.
Next week Mr Howitt is standing Freedom 4 Choice Blackpool party candidate in the Haltemprice and Howden by-election.
