OPENING: The final section of the tram tracks that underwent an £11.8million upgrade over the winter are to re-open next weekend
The final section of the tram tracks that underwent an £11.8million upgrade over the winter are to re-open next weekend.
Trams have been running along the Promenade from Starr Gate to Uncle Tom's Cabin since Easter, but were unable to run any further due to electrical work.
But the track from Squires Gate to Fleetwood will re-open on Saturday April 26.
The tracks were closed by Blackpool Transport in November, and it has been the longest time the system has been out of service in the trams 110-year history.
