A team of ten soldiers from Dorset are attempting to break a world record at the Sandcastle Waterpark today and tomorrow.

The soldiers, from 11 Signal Regiment in Blandford, are trying to break the Guiness World Record for the longest distance travelled on a waterslide in 24 hours.

The attempt will raise funds for the mayors charity, the It's a Knockout Campaign for the MRI scanner appeal and for the National Army Charity, Help for Heroes.

The soldiers started their slide at 11am this morning and hope to break the record between 10.30am and 11am tomorrow.
