Charity for the deaf and hard of hearing, RNID, is calling on cyclists to saddle up for a New Year challenge and bike it from London to Paris to change the world for deaf and hard of hearing people.
The national charity, which represents the UK's nine million deaf and hard of hearing people, would like to hear from people who are up for cycling the 300km between the two capitals on 27 - 30 June 2008.
Places in RNID's team are available to prospective fundraisers on a first come, first served basis by paying a registration fee of £99 and raising a minimum of £1000.
Caroline Jupe, RNID Events and Community Fundraising Executive, says: "If you're looking for a new challenge, sign up for RNID's London to Paris cycling team and use your pedal power to change the world for deaf and hard of hearing people!"
Money raised by RNID's cycling team will be used to support the charity's campaigning work and range of services for deaf and hard of hearing people around the country.
For more information about the event, contact Caroline Jupe, on telephone/textphone: 0845 634 0687 (local rate) or email: events@rnid.org.uk.
