It is also the birthday of his mother, Isobel, who today described her son as a person who "lived life to the full".
She added: "John had a baby son, Benjamin, whom he adored.
"Sadly it is both mine and Benjamin's birthday today.
"He was a taxi driver in the Blackpool area and had lots of friends.
"The family are obviously all devastated, he has left a 14-year-old sister, Paige, grandparents Elsie and John Stuart, step-father Darren and friend Lee Donnelly.
"He will be sadly missed by us all."
John, who was a keen motorcyclist, collapsed at the Knowsley Hall festival on Saturday night, and was pronounced dead at Whiston Hospital, Merseyside.
A post-mortem examination has failed to establish the cause of his death but toxicology tests are to be carried out, police said.
