WOULD-BE adoptive parents are invited find out more about offering a permanent home and family to a child unable to live with their birth family.

Lancashire County Council is holding an adoption information evening at County Hall, Preston on Wednesday, November 6 from 6pm to 7.30pm.

People who have adopted will be there to share their experiences, and social workers will be available to answer questions.

The county is looking for people from all backgrounds, aged over 21, and living in Lancashire or close by.

It is seeking to place children from young babies up to the age of eight years, particularly children aged over four, children with special needs, disabilities, or unpredictable medical issues, sibling groups of two or more children, boys of all ages and dual heritage children.
