Blackpool's Illuminations depot is throwing open its doors for visitors for the final time this summer.
The popular Illuminations open day, on July 10 this year, is the final chance for visitors to see the Rigby Road depot before it moves to a new location in 2009.
The open day sees the depot's maze of corridors, halls, storage areas and workshops thrown open to members of the public, who can catch a glimpse of where the world famous Illuminations are crafted and stored.
Coun Maxine Callow, portfolio holder for regeneration and tourism said: "This is a wonderful opportunity for residents and visitors to see what goes on behind the scenes at Blackpool Illuminations.
"Not only will they be able to see how the installations are made, but they'll also see some of the famous lights that have graced the Promenade in recent years.
"There has always been a great turnout from local schools and residents, as well as visitors to the resort and am sure this year will be no different."
Blackpool's Illuminations will be switched on August 29 this year.
