A two-month scheme that saw police on horseback patrol the streets of a Blackpool housing estate has come to an end.
Mounted police have been patrolling the streets of Grange Park since March, but due to Lancashire Constabulary's rotation system, the horses, which are based at police headquarters in Hutton, Preston, are to move on to a new area of the county.
The two-month scheme, which costs £400, has been hailed a huge success and it is hoped the horses will return to the estate later in the year.
