Police description of armed robber
Police have issued a description of one of the armed robbers who raided a Blackpool jewellery store on Tuesday afternoon.
Two men rushed into Jagar Jewellers on Cedar Square at around 2.45pm, armed with a hammer, which was used to threaten and intimidate staff.
The robbers smashed a display case inside the shop, and escaped with a number of items.
They then fled the scene in the direction of the Talbot Road bus station, about 200 yards away.
The robber armed with the hammer was white, around 5ft 6in tall, of slim build and possibly with dark or black hair.
He wore a grey, long-sleeved hooded top with the hood pulled around his face, under a black sleeveless bodywarmer-style jacket, which may have been part of the hooded top.
