Crash victim off critical list
A motorbike passenger who was thrown from a bike in an accident has been taken off the critical list.
Scott Lomax, 29, suffered head and pelvic injuries when the black Yamaha R6 bike hit a parked Ford Fiesta just after 11pm on March 21.
Mr Lomax received emergency treatment and was in a critical condition at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, but his condition has improved and he is now described as "comfortable".
The incident happened at the junction of Highfield Road and Southworth Avenue in South Shore.
Lee Michael O'Neill, 26, who was in control of the motorbike, suffered a foot injury, and has been released from hospital.
