FOR all those who decided to forsake this show in favour of footie on the telly, I can only say you missed out on a special talent.
Unless you’re really into your comedy you probably won’t be aware of David O’Doherty but you will be.
As the current if.comedy award winner from Edinburgh, he’s already impressed those who know about mirth making and the big stages beckon.
O’Doherty is a wonderful combination of the surreal, the silly and the intellectual.
Even in front of a disappointingly small turn-out, he packed more into his show than lesser comedians can think of in a career.
The invention and wit — plus the songs accompanied on tiny keyboards — call to mind Bill Bailey for the Facebook generation.
A star in the making? I think he’s already there.
