Evans The Death - Evans The Death
WITH their urgent and frenetic garage rock sound, Evans The Death are a throwback to the likes of The Fall, The Jam and Lush.
Singer Katherine Whitaker sounds similar to Elastica’s Justine Frischmann with her vocal mannerisms, while main songwriter Dan Moss creates edgy songs full of warmth.
Standout track is the closer You’re Joking, with its world-weary charms and abstract lyrics, and the whole album hints that this band could be around for quite some time.
