THIS week I have been mostly watching C4's Coach Trip.
It’s not a new show, but for some reason it had not been on my radar until now.
Idle interest in one of the places the group were visiting earlier in the week made me pause, my finger still on the remote control, and gradually I got sucked-in.
Now I'm addicted.
For those of you who have never watched Coach Trip, I'll explain. The premise is that a group of British tourists travel around Europe on a coach together.
They're all in couples, so you get friends, husband and wives, brothers, all sorts. Every show one couple is given a yellow card.
Two yellow cards and you're voted off, with a new couple replacing you on the trip.
The tone of the show is tongue-in-cheek — think Come Dine With Me on wheels.
Each show sees the party stop off at lots of destinations on their way and learn weird and wonderful skills such as pottery, or how to speak the native language, but tensions always run high as they're forced to spend too much time together and are confined to the coach.
If you’ve never watched it, please give it a go, even if it’s just to see professional tour guide Brendan, who is more camp than a row of pink tents.
