Review: Librandi Asylia 2011, £8.99, Waitrose

In the south of the Italian mainland below Naples is Calabria and a wine region called Melissa where they grow the Greco Bianco grape that, not surprisingly, originated in Greece. It’s the main ingredient of this strongly citrus-flavoured white which is light in colour without the almost watery look of Pinot Grigio. Something different, only 12.5per cent alcohol and a decent price.
