Blackpool North and Fleetwood MP to welcome International Children’s Cancer Conference delegates
 |
| Blackpool North and Fleetwood MP, Joan Humble |
Blackpool North and Fleetwood MP, Joan Humble, is welcoming delegates to an International Children's Cancer Conference, at the Hilton Hotel, Queen's Suite, tomorrow.
The conference is organised by the Chair of Trustees at Donna's Dream House, Len Curtis, and starts at 9.30 am.
The theme of the conference is to share experience and information on the benefits of specialist groups, parents and carers working together to provide a care package for children and young people with cancer.
Mrs Humble said: "I am pleased that I have been asked to welcome delegates to Blackpool to discuss and share their experiences on the best way to provide care for children and young people with cancer.
"This is an issue I have raised in Parliament, both for the children themselves and also their carers.
"I am very impressed by the work and dedication of the staff and volunteers at Donna's Dream House who have made this event possible.
"I am sure that the discussions that take place here this weekend will lead to an enhancement of the care offered in this field."
